No curlies for me :(

I feel as if i have no curl pattern at all i know ive seen a few curls im stuck between a 3C and 4A but im still transtioning, its been almost a year and i barely have any curls at all even though im transition from a somewhat jheri curl so i also still have the chemical curls in my hair which makes it hard for me altogether. Idk if i should just wait it out and see if the curl pattern will come or not im just sad i look at all the other natural girls and their curls whether their 4C or all the way to 2C and i just want to feel like a curly girl even when i put my hair back in a pony tail i have no curly waves at all its just a puffy poof that refuses to lay down uuugh i just started using eco-styler gel and im thinking about purchasing Shea moisture curly smoothie :blob8: i thought maybe asking someone on here would help me and if someone is or has been in my situation i also do wear protective styles such as twists and what nots.... heres a picture of my hair today after a failed pony tail so i decided to fro it out

One of the quickest ways to frustration during the natural hair journey is to compare your hair to someone else's or to expect a certain curl pattern. Not everyone is going to have curls. I think it's necessary to learn your own hair so that you may then see what works best for you in terms of everything from products to styling. I think you have beautiful hair. Don't be discouraged. It is a process but I think you will feel much better when you begin to learn what works for you. Good luck hun!

thanks so much its just hard to believe that i have nice hair because everysince i was little my mom put relaxers in my hair against my dads wishes, she started me off at 4 and b/c of her i lost my hair at 4 and was mostly bald during those early years then i grew my hair back out and she chopped it off. Now my hair is in my own hands and it feels great and i do feel clueless b/c i never got to see what my natural hair was like so its completely new. Im trying some products right now but their not really working for me but im just going to use them up for now then try something else

Yea if you are new to knowing your hair texture, it may be very difficult...that's why I call it a process lol. It may not happen overnight but you will eventually get the hang of it.
