Different textures on the same head?

I noticed that since I grew my hair out that my hair texture is not the same all over my head.

My sides seem 3b, the back of my head is something like 3c, while the front and top of my head 2c/3a (very wavy/almost not curly).

Is this normal?

Could the major texture difference between the top of my head and the back be a sign of male pattern baldness? It isn't thinning though, but the texture difference between my top and back is really big.

You are not the only one I have three different texture almost 3c in the back that looks like heat damage hair lol. My crown is also a different texture and my sides are really kinky coils lol. Yea weird but as a Biology major trust me u are not balding at all. Its happen all the time to different people. No head of hair is the same. Hope that help. If ur hair is still thinning out try pure aloe gel as DC for one month, that should help in healing the scalp and reviving the hair follicles. Try the health food store type or buy the plant and scoop the inside

P.s male bald is a genetic disorder inherited from the father. For a female to be bald the mother must be bald also. Its a dominant disorder in male, while recessive in female. If ur father is bald, then your are a gene carrier but wont show symptoms while your brother will not only be a carrier but will also show symptoms of baldness. Hope that explained the genetic aspect of baldness. Its rare for a female to be bald but it does happened just rare compare to men cuz its a dominant gene in me. While its its more like silence mutation in female, but a female go bald if the mother is bald also

Thanks for your response. Well, my hair isn't thinning anywhere, it looks pretty healthy everywhere. The only difference is just the curl pattern. Since the curl pattern at the front and on the top of my head is wavy (~2c ish) and almost not even curly while the back is very curly (~3c ish) I was a bit worried that it could be male pattern baldness. Since it usually starts at the front. It doesn't really run in my family, but since many guys get it in general I was just a bit worried. If different textures on the same head is normal than I shouldn't worry I guess.

I thought that only happened with the curly girls, 😱but I have also noticed I have 3 textures as well ... 3c on the top/med of my head 4a in the back and some 4b on the sides near my ear or edges. So its not weird for guys to have multiple textures.😃

Lol no its not weird at all my boyfriend has three different texture like I do. Softer hair at the crown, kinky edges and looser curls at the back. Lots of curlies either male or female can have more than one texture, no head of curls is the same. Some people are lucky to have one texture but not all. Hope that helps
