Hello! I recently
Made a shea/ aloe moisturizer for the first time. the recipe called for aloe vera gel. The only one i could find had methylparaben and sodium carboner added. Are these preservatives?? Is this still ok to mix and place on the hair??

The methylparaben is a preservative and the sodium carboner is a thickener.
It's fine to use on your hair.

I don't know what the rest of your recipe looks like though. When I use aloe in a recipe, I usually use an extract (bought online) or aloe vera juice from a health food store. The kind that needs to be refrigerated after opening.
