8 year old battling with scalp fungus

Hello all! I am new to the community and looking for advice on continuing to be anatural and to help my 8 yar old daughter.
My 8 year old has had a battle with ringworms on the skin but now she has it in her hair. she has soft curly natural hair but now her hair looks like a over relaxed and broken off due to the scalp fungus. any natural remedies or suggesstions out there. Desperate and hurt for my baby. Thanks!

    I don't think this is something a home remedy or OTC product can fix. You need to see her pediatrician or dermatologist. Good luck.

    I, too, would take her to see the pediatrician. If it is indeed fungal then a topical cream will help. In the meantime wash all of her sheets, pillowcases, etc. after use. Also tea tree oil can help.

    Griseofulvin is really the best treatment for tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp). It's an oral medication that is best absorbed when taken with something fatty, like milk. Her pediatrician should be able to prescribe the medication if it's necessary. If you are unable to take her to a healthcare provider for a prescription then you can also try blue star ointment. But I would get it accurately diagnosed by a hcp first :)

    I just posted this link on the thread about headlice. Henna has been proven to cure ringworm as well as headlice. Your daughter would end up with red hair, but no ringworm, and no poisons.
