Wrapping babies hair at night

Hey folks! My daughter Hadassah has beautiful 3b/c curls. It gets matted and tangled very easily. We tried putting her hair in a stocking cap, but by the morn it would be off and her hair a mess.
My son Joshua has very thick and coarse 4c hair. Sometimes we braid his hair sometimes twists, but he can't keep anything on his head either.
I know I could get some satin pillowcases, but these are babies. Hadassah is 1. Joshua is 3.
Any suggestions?

The kids can't rub those off tossing and turning.
My girls both do satin the oldest is 5 and has had a satin pillow case since she was 2 and the youngest has been sleeping on a satin sheet, and she's 22 months old. Babies or not it's totally worth it, and makes a bigger difference than anything else I've done for them.
If you don't want to then I'd suggest more moisture, as cotton whisks it away and they spend more time sleeping on it than anything else.
There are only two ways to do things: right or over.
All of this. I even draped a satin scarf over the back of the carseat.
Blame it on the cell phone...
Great advice!
