Opinions on trying out bangs? UPDATED WITH PICS :)

I have 2c/3aish hair, and for a year or two I've been growing out my bangs. Lately though, they tend to look limp and stringy, and I don't like them too long. I was thinking of giving bangs another try, because I got rid of them long before starting CG. They used to look pretty bad, but I think that was in part because I would cut them by myself with a shaving razor (yeah, I know)...they were uneven, dry and odd. I posted some pictures of some new ideas for when I go for a trim...then me so I can get input :)

TIA!

There's me. :)

I'm just a little bored with it now...and bangs are cute with vintage styles and bows...which I'm very much into.

Thoughts, please? :) Or even suggestions?

Unfortunately, no :( I must dye it since my hair is practically turning grey. (Grey hair young in life runs in my family)

I'm a little concerned that bangs would make my face look chubby, too, though. :/ Any suggestions?

So cute!!! How do you get the to swoop so perfectly?? Mine just fall into my face. I keep cutting them shorter and shorter, and I'm about to give up on the side swept thing and just cut more traditional bangs.

    Thank you, guys :D

To answer that question, I think it was a mix of getting lucky and diffusing my bangs with the rest of my hair. If they're a little longer and can be swept a little bit to the side, you can have them dry shorter so they don't flop into your face. Still experimenting on that. :P

Not following you here... What do you mean by "dry shorter"?

Mine were longer, but I keep going shorter bc they just fall in my eyes or get tucked behind my ear, and therefore don't really serve the purpose of "bangs". ;)

Oh! So it's kind of hard to explain.
What I mean is, if my bangs were to be straight, they would be a lot longer than they look here. The way my bangs work, if I diffuse them, they curl up and shrink a little bit, and since they do that, they tend to want to curl across my forehead as opposed to sit straight down.

I'm not sure if that's clear enough! If not I'll try to show a picture or something.

Your bangs look way cute on you. It almost makes me want to get some but I've already tried that 3 times and never going back there again as I can't style them properly. A little jealous!

    This!!

I meant to reply to this thread to tell you how awesome I think bangs would look on you, but I guess I never did! Your bangs blend in so nicely with your hair, and you look so pretty with them! I think they totally fit in with your style. Like CCW, I have tried to get side bangs to work many times. Sadly, they just do not work for me -- my hair would always curl up and stick out in weird ways when I had 'em, and they'd never play nice. You are very lucky! Gorgeous!!
