Hi all! I was previously typed as a 3 something (due to product manipulation), but Im pretty sure I'm a 4 something. I believe i'm a 4a. What do you all think? The first pic is with gel. The second pic is wet hair no product and the 3rd is dry no product...big difference. Thanks in advance.:)

    You look like a 3c- 4a

I want to join in the fun. I've been natural for years and kno that there are things that are way more important. But I'm curious to what some of you ladies think! Soooo... What's my hair type??

Most of my hair is like this:ImageUploadedByCurlTalk1354628223.793545.jpg
    My nape is like this:ImageUploadedByCurlTalk1354628245.220442.jpg
Mostly fine hair, coarse around my edges and nape.
Definitely high porosity and insanely dense.
Not so sure on the elasticity, but I don't think I have a very good moisture/protein balance and my hair is ubber dry, so I'm going to go with low... of course I could be very wrong.

    Cowash/RO: HEHH, AIA Coconut Cowash
    PT: Ion Effective Care Treatment
    DT: Any condish with EVOO+Honey
LI: SM CES or PM The conditioner

I was thinking between 4a/4b. Sorry I couldn't find clearer pics. The first one is without product. The one in the middle is a twist out. The other ones are WNGs

    Thanks

So for some strange reason, mid strand, lo and behold is my curl pattern .. i think. I have gotten relaxers and I have this patch of hair that has my natural curl there. So I don't know if that part didn't get processed, or processed enough, but whatever the case, there it is. My curls go pretty straight when wet, and of course, goes back to normal when dry. In my roots, the curl feels a little looser but slightly tighter in other areas of my hair. This is my hair after washing ...

Almost 10 years in the online natural hair community and I still don't know my hair type. LOL I have waves and curls big and small. Kinks, frizz, wire, etc. I claim 4a/3c and call it a day.

And at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter.
amen sister. I call mine 4a but i have a combo of 3c,4a,&b. at the end of the day its all about learning your hair and knowing its likes and dislikes WHATEVER the type

    Thanks!

cant tell on relaxed hair. straight hair is heavier than curly, so straight ends weigh curls down making them appear looser. try again later on 100% virgin hair.

Idk why, but today I'm curious what type Quinn (my hair) is. It does its own thing. I'd say 4a/3c. Not sure though. No heat damage, btw...

I think 4a. My hair is 100% dry. I stood it up on its roots so that the curl pattern is visible.
