This is such a tough question!! Are we basing it on voice or on their music (two very different things)?

Based purely on voice, I would have to cast my vote for Sarah Brightman. In the popular music arena I'm currently loving Adele, but I also love Alison Krause's voice (admittedly partial because my own voice has a similar light and airy sound).

Based on music, I would go with Tori Amos- her first album is still one of my all-time favorites.

My favorite genre is dancehall, where i listen to lots of different artist and songs. But a singer that i both think got a cool style, personality, voice and music style is Rihanna. But i like lots of music. :)

I love Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra doing duets. Their voices complement each other so perfectly and I'm a sucker for a deep cavernous male voice. And the music's brilliant.

I'm a sucker for any woman with a deep raspy voice. My current favs: Selah Sue, Adele, and Shingai Shoniwa.

    My two other favs:
    Ximena Sarinana
    Cedric Bixler Zavala

Seth Avett of The Avett Brothers. His voice totally kills me.

Might sound weird but I love James Hetfield's voice from Metallica. It's soothing and rough and sexy all at the same time.

    Lately it's Neko Case.

I sure like Melanie Amaro, too (from the Pepsi commercial during the Superbowl).

I love a voice that can really belt out a song.

    I do love Adele's voice.

There has always been something about Maynard James Keenan's voice that makes me need to listen to him over and over again. Anthony Kiedis too.

Ann Wilson of Heart. If I could sing like anyone in the world, it would be she.

I also love Bonnie Raitt's voice.

I also like Matthew Bellamy's voice. And the best voice in rock, imo, has always been Freddie Mercury! No one will ever upstage him!

Its different people on different days, but I'm gonna say its a toss up between Nikka Costa and Rachelle Ferrell. Both have been giving me goosebumps for over a decade. *scurries off to go listen to Nikka*
