New L'Oreal Evercreme Cleansing Conditioner!

Hi Curlies!!

Ok so I was flipping through my fave magazine today and came across a huge ad for this and I went B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!!
lol
lorealcleansingcondish.jpg

Ok so when I calmed down, I researched it and found out the ingredients don't look so bad, they're -cone and sulfate free.... I feel really excited about this new product for two major reasons:

  • It's a very affordable and easily accesible product
  • This means big companies like L'Oreal are taking notice of our (curly gals:tongue3:) needs, which means other ones are likely to follow and soon getting our products won't bee such a time consuming (online ordering, going to special healthfood stores) and expensive process.
Here are the Ingredients:
Aqua/Water/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Cocoamphopropionate, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Behentrimonium Chloride, Parfum/Fragrance, Isopropyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Glycerin, Tocopherol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Camelina Sativa Oil/Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil/Apricot Kernel Oil, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil/Grape Seed Oil, Caramel, CI 19140/Yellow 5.

SO... who has heard of this? who has tried it? who wants to try it?

I want to:tongue: but haven't seen it around so I might order it online (so much for my easily accesibility lol)

OH.... I also saw the ad for an Alcohol-free mousse...but it has a -cone in it... However, the Curl activating gel is cone free...which makes it a must try :P
3A Med texture, normal porosity and elasticity
CG since August 2010 and loving it
Currently loving: Giovanni's tea tree low 'poo(once a week), GVP Conditioning Balm or Nubian Heritage Coconut and Papaya Conditioner, Honey DT's, Honey in my gel:P
Style: Gel Biosilk's Hardrock Gelee(my HG) OR Beyond The Zone Noodle Head Curl Mousse or Alba Botanical Strong Hold Gel

Loves me some VOLUME So no clumps here, Thanks!

So that one and the gel are cone free? Any idea which others are? I'm dying to try this line, but I haven't had a chance to look for it yet.

I've seen this in the drugstore, but oh my, such a small bottle - only 8 oz.! For someone with thick hair one could go through that pretty quickly, and at 8 whole dollars for that bottle - well, you see where this is going. But I guess I'm spoiled by using the ultra-cheap Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut conditioner as my co-wash LOL! With my thick hair, although it isn't long, I HAVE to go cheap with my products on my budget(low).

Very True...however, I only cleanse my hair every other day so it should'nt be a problem (I hope) and I never got the hang of cowashing with an actual conditioner :( so comparing $8 to $20 (aprox price of CurlJunkie Daily Fix or Deva's No Poo, both of which I love) is a big deal to me :)

Me either! And both ulta and the L'Oreal site has them listed at $6.99 but they're out of stock

I ordered mine from Amazon.com last night... I ordered the cleansing condish and curl activating gel...it did say that the condish was out of stock until feb 2, so my order wont ship until then but at least they had a date. Hopefully its coming to stores :toothy8:

On CVS website, most of the Evercreme products are on sale ($5.24 for most products, including the Conditioning Cleanser), so I'm probably going to check them out today (CVS is the only drugstore close enough to me to get there by walking). Hopefully they'll have some in stock, if I remember I'll call first to find out.

ETA: CVS only seems to have the shampoos and conditioners, none of the gels or mousses :( still might be worth it.

I got mine at Target. I am a huge fan of CJ Daily Fix, so I picked this up to compare. I haven't used it enough to notice anything that stood out (other than the strong fragrance), but the results were no better or worse than using DF or DC No-Poo (I think I even liked better than No-Poo, but I've been having issues with the No-Poo lately). I'll probably rotate it in again tomorrow or Thursday.

Also, even though the EverStyle products are not all CG friendly, the EverSleek line is (all sulfate and cone free). I've been using the cream hair serum as a finishing product lately when I SOTC.

I'm a co-washer, and I think my hair is like 2b/2c. It's very dry at times and the frizz I had was mainly caused by dryness, protein sensitive, high porosity.

Hey curlies! So I received mine about a week ago ? and it's not my favorite but it's a pretty good quality product. The reason why I'm not totally convinced is because it IS a very thick Creme. I have not had any build up problems but I am worried a out oc?

I guess I need to give it some more time to properly review it

Just bought and tried this product today! I haven't co-washed in a while, so I kind of need to re-adapt to the feeling, BUT... so far, it seems pretty great :) My hair is definitely moisturized and my roots don't seem to be weighed down or greasy, but it's still wet so I can't say with 100% certainty how it's all going to look. This product is a very thick cream, kind of hard to distribute at first, I needed like eight pumps for my thick/dry hair, haha. But it felt nice once I started massaging it in. I definitely think this is a product for people with LOTS of hair, and/or hair that is dry... it would probably be too much for fine hair!

I'll post an updated review once my hair dries, probably tomorrow lol. :)

I'm bumping this thread. Anyone having success with this? I bought it at Target a couple of weeks ago and am still trying to decide if it does anything for me. I've found that I need to low-poo or clarify basically every day to get reasonably reproducible results. I guess I feel a bit guilty about it though, so saw this and decided to try it. A cleansing sulfate-free conditioner sounded promising. But I am not convinced it's actually all that cleansing, as it seems to leave my hair kind of weighed down. I'm wondering if I should use more maybe? I don't know, the jury's still out on this one. Just wanted to see if others are using it with success, and what other products you use in your routine that work well with it. Thanks!

I get good results with this, but I also used Deva No-Poo exclusively for 2 straight years, so for me it feels like another cleansing conditioner. I find most low-poos leave my hair feeling very stripped so I definitely prefer cleansing conditioners in general. I did not care for the Eversleek RO that I tried with it though.

I do use a good six or seven or so pumps of this product, a little more than a half dollar size, and really take my time massaging it in. Seems effective for me, moisturized hair but no greasiness :) You might honestly need to use more. I get better results with more of it as well. Also, when paired with the leave-in in the dark brown bottle (the humidity defying leave-in crème), it leaves me with super shiny curls :)

Yup, those ingredients lists are identical, other than the glycerin in the curl activating one. If those lists are correct, neither of those products are CG friendly because they both have 2 'cones that aren't water soluble - Cyclopentasiloxane and Dimethiconol.
