I might have converted someone!

It's been a long while since I've been here, but rather than explain where I've been for the last six months, I'll just share this story.
I work for Harmon Discount (a beauty supply store) now, and this past Thursday I had to help this wavy-haired lady and her daughter pick out a straightening iron. Since she was looking for a good iron that was also reasonably priced, I suggested a Conair 1 1/2" Ceramic Iron. (I can only hope I did good, since mine is a Hot Tools iron) She then said that she loved how my hair looked and wanted to know how I did it. I spent nearly ten minutes telling her about how I had spent the first 23 years of my life hating my curls, and how I severely decreased my shampoo usage after reading Lorraine Massey's "Curly Girl" (She looked a little worried when I told her about the 'no-poo' thing, but seemed to accept the theory that shampooing is what leads to frizz). I showed her which products I used, told her not to be disappointed if it doesn't work out (as anybody who has tried the 'no-poo method knows, it's not easy getting the right combination of products), and wrote down the information needed to obtain the book. I feel good about myself; I feel like I've done a good deed. I think the world needs more curlies, don't you?
I use the Totally Twisted line from Herbal Essences: Conditioner/gel daily; shampoo and Wella In-Depth treatment once a week.

    You work at Harmon Discount!!!

My favorite guilty pleasure. Keep up the good work.
I have finally realized I look my best when my hair tells me how it is going to fall, and I just make suggestions.

    Great!

I'm so glad our Harmon is not too near me, I would spend way too much money! Do you ever take any of your paycheck home in cash, LOL!

Here I am with an update. The same lady I may or may not have converted came back to the store a few days ago. She returned the Revlon straightening iron (yay!) and the hair gel (she said she found an unused bottle under her sink). I don't know whether I've truly converted her or not, but I like to think that I did since she returned the iron. I really hope I did this. If I did, it's probably the first time I've ever made a change for the better in someone's life.
