Ayurvedic Hair Care Regimen

hello! =] (i posted this in the natural hair care section; but no one has responded so here i am )

i am trying to take a more natural approach to my hair (3C) and i was on youtube one night and found indian women talking about ayurvedic hair care. (indian alternative medicine)

here is a link about the different herbs and such in ayurvedic hair care; but im looking for a step by step routine using the herbs and hair recipes... Ayurvedic Herbs for Hair Care

i wanted to know if anyone here has used this regimen and what your results were. how did you like it? what didnt you like? what is hair routine??

im trying to gain insight so i can make up a routine of my own. i have pcos and my hair is very thin and brittle (breaks very easily) right now. i have lost most of my thickness to my curls and i am trying to get that back.

any tips or suggestions would be really helpful. thanks so much guys! :thumbright:

I can't help you but I would suggest going over to curlynikki.com a lot of people over there have ayurvedic regimes. Do a search and you'll see quite a bit of topics on the subject. Hth

i have been to her site before. (i have been researching this non stop for like a week lol) she has herbs and things on there; but not a step by step regimen like this:
    shampoo
    cowash
    moisterizer
    etc...

this is what im looking for, i still have a long way to go in researching :)

Sry I meant the forum over there. In a lot of the threads people give their step by step regimes. So try going to the forum and then so a search. If you've already done that then nevermind lol

Also, there are several threads on nc.com as well. Do a search in the search bar, because there is quite a bit of information in a couple of them. People explain what combos they use, powders or teas made from the herbs, etc.

Everyone uses them differently, so you will not get a step-by-step regimen, like you ask in the previous post, but you will get a good idea of what herbs to use and when. One poster was nice enough to put up a glossary of the herbs and their uses.

    Here's one:
    http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/4a/80336-ayurvedic-herb-spinoff-thread.html

The others come up in the search results as well, and you may have to go down a page in those results. It has been awhile since there has been much discussion about ayurveda en masse.

The best thing to do is start experimenting with the different herbs and powders yourself. Someone else's regiment may not work as well for someone else. That's what I started doing.
