Saying goodbye to....

How do you say goodbye to your hair stylist after you decided you are gonna go natural or you did the big chop?

I luv my hairdresser, she has done great things for my hair. I've been limiting how often I go to her so I can get use to doing my own hair.

Do any of you still go to a hairdresser which styled your hair when you were relaxed?

I don't go to my hairdresser anymore. I have been styling my own hair during my transition. All the women in my family have been going to the same hairdresser forever. And he was very rude to us when we all decided to go natural.

He would even refuse to trim our ends. So now I don't go to him anymore at all. Sucks because he did such a good job keeping my hair looking good when I was relaxed.

Trims don't pay as well as retouches.

I stopped going to stylists when I went natural but I was actually going back and forth between one where I live and one in my hometown. I didn't say anything. Just stopped making appointments. I ran into one of them while having lunch a few years later. It was a little awkward but no biggie. I was actually wearing a wig that day.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:
