Any curlies living in Chapel Hill, NC

Hello Friends,

Have been around this forum over the past 1.5 yrs or so. Did some research on curly hair from the forum and tried different products. When ever I use Giovanni Direct Leave In conditioner, it made my hair look like a mushroom after my hair dried. I also tried another gel when made my hair look like straw. These are few among other products I tried. Basically, I have a very healthy curly hair, but I don't know how to style it. I brush my hair every day and just put a pony tail. I am just not getting how to style my curly hair. Are there any curlies living in Chapel Hill and willing to help / teach me some basics of styling curly hair. Please let me know. Thanks a lot for your help!!

I live in Raleigh. I have wavy hair, but some might call it curly on a good day. I'm not sure what all you've tried or what products you're using or what type hair you have so there's plenty of places to start.

What products do you use right now (shampoo, conditioner, lo-poo, etc)? That might be the easiest place to start.
