Can any of you lovely curlies help me? I need ideas for styles for my length of my hair. I'm one year post and have no idea what to do with my hair this length. Do you guys have any pictures or maybe someone you found on YouTube who has hair similar to mine that I can learn styles from. It's so crazy how much you have to learn about YOUR OWN HAIR after you've been trying to have someone else's hair for so long lol excuse my plain looking self in the pics. Lol this is before I got ready. Thanks Ladies!

What type of styles do you like?

I'm up for anything really. I like to wear my hair up in a pony tail. But I LOVE when I have good days and can wear my hair down

Have you tried braid or twist outs? If you like the loose look with curls and full of body those are great options...

If you like a more flowing loose wave look, try stretching your hair, there's lot of videos on the technique and allows you to wear hair down.

Also for cute looks try loose buns pulled off to the side and don't be afraid of accessories...nothing is cuter than cute clips, bows, flowers, etc in kinkycurly girls hair...

And lastly don't forget scarf's and beany caps...different colors and textures for those days you simply don't want to be bothered. Websites like etsy sell cute beany caps that are handmade and actually can make a bad hair day an awesome hair day!

Thanks :) I just bought some accessories today and I'm gonna look up the stretching videos. I've tried twists and that did not so hot on me :/ even after doing the twist out

My hair looks similar to yours when I wash it...but tends to 'puff out' once it dries...I just washed it today, here's a pic of what I did with mine (I'm almost 3 years in and still don't know how to style it lol) 2qa73v9.jpg
honestly I just got a scarf and tied a big bow at the top of my head...lol I do this style a lot though when I wear my hair natural since I usually wear it straight.
