HELP

Hi there,
I hope if you are reading this, you are able to help.

I have tried sooo many products this past year with no sucess. The last products I have tried were Curl Junkie which I think were the culprit in major dandruff that send me to a dermatologist. I have lost a lot of hair. And thought of cutting it shorter ( mid back) in order for it to maybe strengthend?

It is so unmanageable. It seems I take forever to detangle. Lately, the top part of my hair is the tangled mess. Deep treatments are done every week.

I'm at a loss and desperate. I have thought of doing a texturizer but turn away from the thought of adding chemicals. Any other suggestions as a way to make the hair more manageable? How about a natural/organic relaxer?

Thank you
3b/C with nicer curls on the bottom!
Hair: naturally very dry and VERY porous
hair seems to be moody.
Does not seem to like oils
Does not like protein or too much?
Does not like rich products

So, I ask myself. What does it like? That is the question, and I'm on a mission.

What are you currently using in your hair? How do you detangle it?

Have you tried braidouts? Amel Larrieux does them and her hair is gorgeous. You could do two or more braids on damp hair and wear it out during the daytime. Your hair would be more relaxed naturally and protected at night.
I cut my long hair in a short bob :bunny:
    Shampoo & Conditioner. Period.

I'm using Yes to Carrots and Pantene relaxed. I also just started using a shampoo for dandruff prescribed by my derm.

I have tried braidouts but they don't really last on my hair anymore. When my hair was in a better state, ( really moisturized) it held well. Now, is a frizz mess.

Its really unmanageable. I'm at a loss.

If you don't mind a little dampness, have you tried curl activator? I use Long Aid, but Carefree curl is a bit less wet and thinner.

My products are pretty cheap. I use Aussie moist conditioner, African Pride Olive Miracle Lotion, coconut oil (LouAna, super cheap. The kind you cook with.), and my activator.

    Hope this helps. :)

i had that problem with different products as well, so i thought of a easy way to fix it: i stopped using products all together! so i only really use anything that can be found in a garden. if your having trouble with other things try just using natural products. i use herbal rinses with a splash of vinegar that really does alot for my hair. i pick what i wanna use then i slowly boil it put a splash of vinegar in it then use it as a final rinse.

my hair: 3b, high porosity, high density and coarse hair (i think i finally figured that all out)
my hair loves conditioner only styling!
Oils and my own procuts are my hairs best friend
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.
