I've been keeping up with moisturizing, and now, my nape has balled up! Is this a good or bad thing?

The kitchen comes with the territory. There's nothing wrong with it being tight little coils in the back.

My hair does that too! I usually end up with a reverse mullet when I wash and go, due to my looser curls in the front. I haven't found a product to help with that, but I did start using the concentrator and blow dryer to stretch my roots. This has helped me achieve some hang time, instead of my ear-length afro (i have a little longer than CBL length hair). HTH

That part of my hair is really loose and fine. That combination makes my hair back there tangle up and do all sorts of nonsense...the movement of my head makes it do that, and my hair isn't even that long. (7 inches when stretched)
