Eating healthy I think is the best because you can get the vitamins from food..I've been taking vitamins like biotin and don't know if its helping but my nails are growing faster for sure.

My daughter is a huge health nut but for six months after the big big chop her hair is still low not even a Afro. We are not sure what to due, my youngest daughter and I have 3c/4a hair and my oldest has 4c hair. She now wants to just do a silk er and I'm just so concerned about her hair not being 100 % natural but also about her self esteem going down because her hair is just not growing.

    My hair grows just fine w/ a women's one a day, B-complex and protein powder(only b/c I am a vegetarian).

Cbunny, maybe your health nut daughter has excluded essential vitamins and minerals necessary for good hair growth. If I didn't take a B complex and extra protein my hair would grow slower and be thinner.

Sometimes it happens that way hun. My hair has always grown fast from a baby. My daughter now 4 hair grows so slow I did my big chop in sept my hair caught up to hers already. But i just continue to grease hair and give her her vitamins.

@ebonyrose31236 what kind of protein powder do you use. I am trying to be a vegetarian, just easing into it. So I eat seafood only now, but I do worry about not getting enough protein. Pls inform. Thanks

I've been trying to take my vitamins, but I actually think they may be making me sick. Weird.

If you are feeling nauseated then you can try taking it with food and/or increasing your water intake.

If that does not help you may need to switch your brand.

Protective styling, protective styling and more protective styling a large percentage of the time for stellar length retention.
