I'm pretty sure they said that about the original Titanic as well...

Highly porous. Color over grey.
I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....
Every day is a gift :flower:
This was my initial reaction as well. It just feels kind of...in bad taste? They're recreating details of the voyage, like the menu and the music. Passengers are encouraged to wear period dress.
I dunno.

It would be, eerie, maybe but the historical experience interesting.

Living in Virginia where we are surrounded with Civil War battlefields and annual reenactments, I did think of that exact analogy as I was trying to figure out my distaste for this cruise. I'm not even sure I can articulate it well. It just seems different, more of a party atmosphere maybe?
People may hate going to war, but for many soldiers there is a belief in what they are doing and a sense that it is "right," or that there is some reason behind it - for example to defend their country. No sense at all in drowning or freezing to death.
Some historical experiences just don't lend themselves well to reenactment, IMHO. Would you want to recreate the bombing of Hiroshima and have people staggering around with fake radiation burns? How about the middle passage (slave trade) being reenacted for fun and games?
