Is this protein free?

I can't put my finger if wheat germ oil is a protein? So many sites say it is others don't say much.

Any type of oil is protein free. Therefore Wheatgerm oil is protein free.

How is you hair reacting when you use this and what is the product name.

Thanks.. that I didn't know.. well I haven't used it, but I really want to buy it but before I do I just wanted to see if it didn't have protein ..

Its also an Australian brand conditioner. I only think they sell this in Australia and NZ.. its called Natural Instinct .. I might buy it either today or tomorrow .. thanks again. :)

I wanted to kind of remain open minded. But those ingredients look dangerous to me, all those extracts usually mean protein in a sneaky name.

And Wheat in general wrecks my hair, so I don't use anything with Wheat Germ Oil in it, even though the OIL has no protein, I feel the wheat germ is floating around in there and makes my hair crazy. Try to do a search on this website for protein free products and pick from that. It might save you some money.

Oh i wish I read this before. I already purchased it.. :-(.. it comes in good sizes, there was a 1litre one for $20 and the shampoo is sls free which is awesome since I low poo but I have heaps of shampoo left..

I'll give the conditioner a try tomorrow and see how it goes.. the smell is nice a very very light lavender scent and is pH balanced as well.. the packaging is pretty plain but I'm not putting the packaging on my hair..

I wanted to tell you all my feelings about all those ingredients...but your question was specifically "is wheat germ oil a protein", which technically it is not. Well use it one day and lay off it for a few days and make sure you are not using any other protein products. Maybe your hair can handle a little bit at a time.

    Good luck.

I'm using it now and so far nothing bad.. the smell is nice, has ok slip.. I checked the other leave in I was going to get which was the as I am Leave in conditioner and pretty much had the same ingredients as in the 'extracts' but was classified as protein free..

I don't think I have anything to worry about in terms of protein .. its the glycerine that's got me thinking now that dew points are over 20°c here (70°f) ..

Just updating, this conditioner is amazing.. I used it as a rinse out one day then next wash as a leave in.. makes my hair very very soft.. I have to be careful not to use it as a leave in sometimes because of extremely high dew points but this is definitely a keeper, I will have to purchase the 1 litre bottle of shampoo and conditioner.
