    I found something on everyone's list I like/want.

I forgot all about my love, beef brisket. And if you're serving anything sweet potato, well you need to just slide that on over here to me.

Thanksgiving was simple this year with about 20 people including the kids. Most if the uncles spent it with their wives' family.

    *Turkey
    *Ham
    *Collard greens
    *Turkey and rice
    *Macaroni
    *Dressing
    *Potato salad
*Mystery BBQ. I'm guessing deer or coon. My grandma made it special for my uncle and was being vague about it lol
    *lemon cake
    *chocolate cake with white icing
    *strawberry icebox cake
    *sweet potato pie

Sent from my phone... which doesn't spell as well as I do.

My husband's family always has the "mystery meat" pot on the stove. It never makes it to the dinner table but they all seem to stand around it and pick out pieces. :pukel:

I refuse to eat coon, squirrel, or possum, I don't really care for deer, and eating gopher seems wrong since they're endangered or whatever. So I avoid the mystery meat at granny's house. She's too country for me sometimes lol

    From grandma's:
    Roasted Turkey
    Honey glazed smoked ham w/pineapple
    Cranberry sauce
    Dressing
    Gravy
    Collard greens
    Corn bread
    Sweet potato pie
    Potato salad
    Cherry pie
    Moscato
    Cherry coke
    Macaroni and cheese
:sad7: No sweet potatoes this year. Gram ran out after the pies.

I got stuck watching the kids (my little cousins) again, but they've gotten so big. Love my family even though they drive me crazy.

Wow, my Thanksgiving has never been that small. I had 3 uncles, an aunt, my grandparents, my mom, myself, 5 cousins and their 6 kids. It was crowded and that's not even the whole fam, lol.:love2: I couldn't stand having leftovers for days sometimes. We'd have to get creative. We'd have turkey casserole, turkey sandwiches, turkey by itself, etc. I love leftover ham with grits for breakfast, though.

Same here. This year there were about... 5 kids and 12 adults maybe. I this is small for us. My mom has 8 brothers and sisters, they're all married and everyone has kids. Plus my mom's aunts, uncle, and cousins... this is the usual gathering plus or minus.
