I finally did it and not in a good way

Overconditioned :-(

I used way to much (several pumps) DB Pumpkin Seed conditioner yesterday and followed today by using DevaCurl No-Poo and (several pumps ) One conditioner and topped that off with a small amount of AG Re:coil.

The Deva and Recoil haven't given me any problems before so I would assume it started with the DB.

I've been reading how to fix the over conditioning but what I'm concerned about now is not doing it again.

So my question is how much conditioner (amount/size) do you use? My hair is abit past shoulder length and I would say medium density.

I like your thread title ---- funny.

I use a good healthy palmful, but I rinse almost all of it out. I have fine 2b hair, though, so get weighed down easily.

Thanks ninja dog for your reply. I rinse out all of my conditioner as well, but something I did over the two days or maybe even before made my hair a mess : (

    Hmmm.

Would some kind of vinegar or baking soda rinse help?

I've never done a ACV rinse but have been reading about them and thought I might try it. Still not 100% sure how to got about it though.

I'm not sure either; the smell always got to me (I just leaned my head back in the shower and poured it over).

I am no help because I am horribly over conditioned right now. But I was using like three palm fuls of conditioner.

    Here's what helped when I was OC'd

    -sulfate wash
-ACV rinses (dilute the ACV with water)
    -protein treatments (repeated)
-wearing my hair straight for a few days

I found the ACV and PTs helped most.

I did the following ~ KC Come Clean wash and nothing else but let it day, the next day I did a ACV rinse following with a protein conditioner and finished with a tiny bit of LI. Things seem to be getting better, yay!!!

So glad you've been having some good results. I had to learn the hard way that these things do not fix themselves overnight. =)
