Pictures first? Then you can read my novel.

Like an hour after finding this site, and doing a bunch of reading. Dry, slightyl frizzy, crunchy, rough etc

Yesterday after a bsoda/ACV/Honey/EVOO. Didn't use condish as I didn't have any...

Today after my first Co-wash, and a tiny bit of jojoba oil. No "products" etc. Nice and soft, smooth, shiny, all the good things. (maybe over moisturized)

Not a huge fan of my bangs....or really what I look like head on. Hopefully that changes as my hair gets longer, and cut properly...or as I learn how to style it. I usually wear a hairband and look like a freaking hippy all day. Good thing idgf (usually) what people think of me.

I'm categorizing myself as a 3a. Is that correct? Maybe 3a/b?

tl:dr content:

So I've been growing my hair out for about a year now...and I was very on/off about liking what my hair was doing. Always looked like ass after washing it.

I was doing basically everything wrong. Rough cotton towels, bad shampoo/consish, just generally not caring for my hair one bit. Not my fault, no one taught me anything about curly hair, and I hadn't found anyone that could (albeit I wasn't trying very hard).

Yesterday I ran out of conditioner and was like "f_ck this long hair business...Mmm, maybe I'll try the internet, it has done me wonders for learning about cars."

Found this site, spent a good hour reading and searching. Went and looked at my shampoo/condish ingredients...yeah, garbage some stylist pushed on me. Into the garbage they go.

Previously I was washing my hair about once every two-three days depending on how dirty it felt. I always liked what it'd look like on the last day, and hate what it looked like after washing. Poofy, just...bad, like '70s porn star hair. Bad.

Anyways, that wasn't tooo long.

Thank you Curltalk.

No, it's nice to hear. Most of my male friends make...disparaging comments, but I think they're just jealous ;-)
