well ive been going my hair out as well, n i no that it will take years to get it to my goal, (mid back length when curly and dry!) but im hoping that i can find a magic formula to make it hurry up, i no its unlikely but im trying different things anyway.
so wat ive been doing, or using lately: rosemary infused olive oil. im been using this like mad, for sealing my ends, rubbing it in my scalp etc.
ive also heard that aleo vera is a good help as well, so ive been using that in hair masks. lately my new "thing" is that ive been making a scalp scrub using pumpkin seed oil and ginger juice as a base. so far i cant swear that anything works, but bout a month ago i noticed for the first time in my life that i have new growth, and ive been feeling little baby hairs all over my scalp, so i must be doing somthing right :)

my hair: 3b, high porosity, high density and coarse hair (i think i finally figured that all out)
my hair loves conditioner only styling!
Oils and my own procuts are my hairs best friend
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.

Definitely don't straighten. Be gentle when combing and be patient.

Are you cg? I've been natural forever but cg just made my life so much easier when I started it two years ago. If you continue to straighten your hair it will keep breaking and growth will be very slow.

For cg basically you do not use sulfates, which are in most shampoos, or silicones which are in many conditioners and stylers. Instead of using shampoo you co-wash which means that you wash your hair with a sulfate and silicone free conditioner.

same here! im trying to grow my hair down to mid- back, its about armpit (heh) level when WET, nevermind when frizzy and dry

I think that aloe vera works, and massaging your scalp when washing works too.
Try doing handstands too-- it sounds random but it gets more blood flow to your head, and helps out your folicles

it just takes ALOT of time:clock: and patience-- hair only grows around .5 inches a month
