My diet leaves a lot to be desired. I'm trying to be better.

Vitamin A for my acne - I use to get the deep, cystic boils on my face but vitamin A daily cleared this up for me. the boils come back when I slack off. When I growing up my mom made greens all the time and I never had acne problems until I moved out. That's how I made the connection.

Vitamin C - it was recommended for my eczema and this also cleared up after suffering for a year.

Vitamin D - don't get enough sunlight in winter. Doctors recommend this for women.

this is what i take most often...

    - a good quality multi for women
    - omega 3 with vit d
    - zinc complex (for my skin)
    - alpha lipoic acid (for my skin)

not vitamins but supplements i've been taking for my digestive issues. all of these are relatively inexpensive but consistency is big...
    - probiotics
    - digestive enzymes
    - fiber (when i remember)

there are some other things i add to the mix as needed but the above is my standard, everyday stuff.

    *** eta ***
    - i was reminded that i take a b-complex pretty often too, 5 out of 7 days a week
    - i drink chlorophyll many days of the week (mostly in the morning with the probiotics, just easier that way)
    - i sometimes drink aloe vera juice, especially if i have digestive distress.

I take a multivitamin once a day because I'm a bummy college student who can't cook so I don't eat as healthy as I should, and I take flaxseed oil three times a day because I get bad breast pains and when my specialist couldn't find out why she recommended I give it a try. Surprisingly (I didn't really expect it to work) I haven't goteen breast pains since. It's supposed to be good for your heart too.

I used to take vitamin E for my breasts but that didn't work as well.

That's the reason I started taking calcium was because I read it makes prementrual symptoms less severe. It worked for me. MUCH less bloating.

I take a woman's Multi-Vitamin and vitamin B-12 for to balance out my diet. If you decide to buy any type of vitamin, be sure to read the ingredients because some of them contain sugars and artificial ingredients.

I'm a vegan so when buying supplements I avoid dairy (whey, casein) and gelatin which is animal skin and bones (mostly made from pig).

You can also get herbal tea that is conducive for women health like Red Raspberry Leaf tea.

i went to the healthfood store yesterday. my eyes starting glazing over from all the vitamins:sad5:. i ended up getting a time released mega vitamin for hair. i need to go back when i have more time. they didn't have many multi-vitamins, mostly single vitamins. i think i need to try the calcium for pms.

    thanks again ladies!

I recently tried probiotics and digestive enzymes. I dont have any digestive issues, but I heard so many good things about them - I gave it a go. I also tried Kefir. You are right about them being pricey though.
