Water and friction, human method.

After a successful soap free experiment in which I haven't washed my body with anything but soap and a scrubber ball I'm going to stop using conditioner. It was only invented to cover up the harsh effects of shampoo.

I'm just going to wash my hair with water and friction.

Hopefully my body's oils should be the only thing I need to keep the scales on my hair flat and healthy.

This co-wash method isn't convincing me. I still have to use man-made conditioners and products like gel etc. You're not letting your hair condition itself by using conditioner, which is giving your hair oil. I noticed the CG author also sells a lot of "curl" products to go with this method...

So here's going back to nature with ZERO chemicals.

P.S. If anyones interested in the soap free experiment read this.

woow that sounds interesting, ive heard that lemon juice lightens your hair though, so keep out of the sun when ya just done that unless you want same nice light high lights :) n yea i was thinking the same...... n i hardly use anything, other then conditioner oil and a bit of curl cream.....

my hair: 3b, high porosity, high density and coarse hair (i think i finally figured that all out)
my hair loves conditioner only styling!
Oils and my own procuts are my hairs best friend
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.

interesting... I tried the lemon juice thingy where you mix lemon juice and water and then soak your hair in it. It worked pretty good, but my hair was still kinda frizzy... It made it curlier though. :)

^ No, I didn't. I just wanted to try it without the product and see how it would look. I would much rather go without products. I'm not big on taking a hour just to do my hair

I wonder if you tried the only water method for a long time it would stop frizz. How long did you try it? Last week my hair was so greasy I might aswell of dunked my head in a chip pan but this week it's a lot less greasy.

I'm not using gels or conditioners just water and it's frizzless. The only thing is it needs to get to that fluffier stage with less grease.

So you don't use shampoo or conditioner?

how often do you "wash" your hair?
<3 Our love is like the wind; I can't see it. But I can feel it. <3

Nope just water and friction. At the moment it's every 4-5 days but there is less grease every wash. Nobody would tell I am doing this. I'm taking after my cat lol, she doesn't need anything special and she has super soft hair.

Doing this is like going from shampoo to CG. First it feels weird and wrong, the grease comes out.

The thing I noticed the most is when I was doing shampoo or CG I would have bad hair days or nice hair days. Now I don't have to worry about using too much too less product because my hair is the same the next day and the next day. I don't mean a bad hair week btw lol.
