Half-natural now.. help needed. :)
Hi all!
This is my first post on here. I've been lurking for a few weeks and found out I've been using really harsh shampoos and conditioners all the while.
I'm from South India and have dull black (previously jet-black) wavy and frizzy hair because of all the harsh products! My goal is to keep my hair dark, shiny, healthy, and embrace those pretty curls.
I'm planning to go all-natural now (organic/ayurvedic), but the problem is, we don't get most of the products here in India (Suave Naturals, Tresemme Naturals, so on and so forth).
I'm guessing I'll have to just settle down for the ones we get here.
My hair is somewhere between 2a and 2b.
Density: Normal (but with my hair-fall rate, it might go down soon unless I do something!)
Porosity: Low-normal
Elasticity: Normal
Here's a list of what I'm planning to use:
Shampoo: Biotique Bio Kelp (Ayurvedic) . I found this keeps my hair fresh, but doesn't condition.
Conditioners: As far as I know, there aren't any conditioners HERE that are silicone-free. So, for a co-wash, could I use one of the Lush Hair Moisturizers instead? Are Lush products completely organic?
Cleansing shampoos: I need help with this. Could somebody tell me specific products that I could get in India, please? I'm not a big fan of online shopping, however. I know there's this cleansing shampoo from Forest Essentials, but I couldn't find a review on here.
Styling products: As of now, I'm not planning on these. Budget constraints.
Additional info: I use egg-white and pure coconut oil on my hair once a week.
Does this routine sound ok for my hair type? And I seriously need help with the condish/cleansing shampoo. Aaaand one final question, are cleansing shampoos really required if I'm sticking to an organic schedule?
Cheers curlies!
I feel liberated after reading all the posts on here. Great forums!

im natural as well, n i shampoo once a week with an organic shampoo, the rest of the week i just use water, or if i use alot of product then i use a bit of condish. theres no right or wrong, its about finding out what works for you n what doesnt, wat your hair loves/hates

like you said, i've done some poo and condish hunting and learnt what my hair needs. and yes, i've also invited impatient looks from people around me, because that's all i've been talking about since a couple of days!
luckily, i've found some good organic ones here and i cant WAIT to try them out!
here's my future siggie:
shampoo: biotique sea kelp

just tried the condish today and it's good. i'm gonna have to wait for a day though, to see if the moisture's enough or not. i love the smell of both the condish and the leave-in, however.

-slip is pretty good
-moisture is average (maybe i need to drink more water or apply more
condish!)
-didnt add much of a shine
-hair smelt good and felt bouncy!
-there was less frizz overall
thats good enough for me! what say?

Well it says on the site that it's silicone, paraben and colourant free, but maybe I need to check the product label again.
I just realized I should've bought the Curl Boost instead of the Radiance Spray.
Oh well, I'll just wait it out!
