I would recommend finding somewhere where they have a zumba class. It's a very fun dance class and many people have lost hundreds of pounds by going regularly. Also, hotels usually have gyms correct? 15-30 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of either abs, legs, or arms atleast every other day is ideal.

Walking is good for weight loss it costs no money and the only equipment you need are shoes.. Also, if you tend to overeat, try to eat less. Can you tell us what sorts of foods are availabe to you? Do you eat 3 meals a day? If so, do you find that you are very hungry at meal times? If I am very hungry, I overeat. A healthy snack between meals, like an apple with nut butter or veggies and 2 slices of cheese will help keep you satisfied between meals so maybe you'd eat less during the meal. For me, protein is more satisfying than carbs. I lost 80 pounds eating low carb foods and exercising. I primarily used the Eliptical and treadmill at the gym.

Weight loss is more about nutrition than exercise. If you improve your diet, you might be able to lose weight. I count calories and that helps me to eat less.

I hope exercise alone works for you. I cannot lose weight unless I diet. It doesn't matter how many spin classes I take. No diet = no weight loss for me.

    Hello Nirucurls,

Hope all is well. I would like to offer my advice.

When it comes to weight loss, the best way to approach this is with a sensible diet and exercise. It is important to consider weight loss as not only a way to improve one's physique but to also improve health and self-esteem.

When it comes to diet, start gradually, don't do anything drastic as that will not work over the long-term. You need to see weight loss as a gradual journey over an X amount of time, forget about crash diets or silly people/advice telling you to lose weight in 2-3 weeks. Start by reducing bad foods first and you will see a result soon. The think reducing calories.

For exercise, you don't need the gym. Simply walking and being active throughout the day will kick start your weight loss. Try to walk to work, leave the car keys in the house, take a hobbie which requires you to be active (e.g skating), go for a walk with your husband/boyfriend/children etc. Just be active.

If you do the above, you will lose weight but, again, you need to see this as a commitment and over a period of time.

Hope that helped and feel free to ask further.

    All the best.

Also be realistic. Being unrealistic and having a poor body image always ends in failure or at BEST a skinny physique, but depression. Stay positive and love yourself. ((Hugs))

I have heard many people say green tea is a good supplement to add to your fitness diet in college.Green tea is a good supplement to lose weight when combined with our regular diet.

Is your hostel secluded in the desert with no access to fresh fruits and veggies? I am sure you have access to nutritious fruits/veggies. Make them a big part of your diet, swap water for juice/soda/alcohol.
Mostly 3c and lovin' my curls

This is not a fashion trend, it's not a statement, it's pride for who we are and what we look like. And that is where our true beauty shines.
