Platinum hair and Beautiful Curls gel - Be careful

If you have white, grey, platinum hair and want to try the Beautiful Curls line, be careful with the Curl Defining Gel for Wavy to Curly hair. The website has a small warning that it can cause (some) white hair to gain a brownish tint from the Apricot oil.

I did get a muddy, brown tint in my white/grey hair from this product, so I bought the Curl Activating cream for Babies and Up instead, which leaves no tint to my hair and has similar ingredients (other than the apricot oil).
Growing out my curls. White hair, fine to medium texture but a lot of it. Low to medium porosity. Botticelli curls -- 2c/3a mix. My hair loves protein.
CG since '08.

Cleanser: (Summer) Beautiful Curls Nurturing shampoo or Kathymack's soap bars
Co-wash: TJ Nourish
Protein: CJ Repair Me
Styling products: (Summer) BB Styling Mudd
Gel: (Summer) BRHG, Upper Management gel.

    You are welcome.
Likely there aren't many people who need to worry about it, but it was an unpleasant surprise to see the tint in my hair. It came out with a clarifying wash, so it was not a disaster but I find it hard enough to keep my white and silver hair clear without adding tint in the form of a curl creme.
