I have heard many things. I heard after you condition you should seal with oil to keep the moisture in. I also have heard of people pre pooing with a hot oil treatment. What is the deal? should u do a hot oil treatment after or before you condition???

Oils don't moisturize--water and/or humectants (aloe vera, glycerin, etc) do. Some folks like sealing with a oil/butter moisturizing. Some folks do hot oil tratments before conditioning or afterwards--It's a matter of preference.

Some oil penetrate the hair strand as well as seal, while most others just seal or protect. Oils proven to penetrate are olive, coconut, and avocado oils.
