Well, i just cut my hair really short like 4 days ago, this is what it looked like before

you can't really see the curls waves there but just to give you an idea of how long it was. I have wavy hair on the top of the head and curly hair on the sides and in the back it's wavy and big curls in the ends but my hair was frizzy most of the time and it wasn't the softest hair either, i've seen guys with hair A LOT curlier than me and their curls look more healthy and defined. My dad was the one that made me cut my hair, because he said he didn't like how it looked and he doesn't like long hair. So, i want tips on how to make it better/healthier/less frizzy please if you guys/girls could help me on it, it would be appreciated.

Some more pics of it

And i'm doing the no shampoo thing, i'm wahing my hair with conditioner and then leaving conditioner on for the rest of the shower, and the one i use is suave naturals. Oh and i forgot to mention that i have a lot of hair, it's what the people who cut my hair always say

You have to be careful when your hair grows because I can tell it can become odd shaped. You will either need to learn how to shape your own style as it grows or make sure you visit a stylist and not just someone who can cut.

A stylist can help you achieve and keep a masculine hair style even with long hair. Your dad will like those results and you will too.

If I were you I would experiment with taking the hair backwards. In the front add volume by going up and to the back. I can tell you are some type of nationality (race etc) so I recommend looking up guys of your nationality who have long hair and not just long curly. You will want to have your hair shaped like theirs even though yours is curly and wavy. Your dad will see them in you and know that it's ok for you to have longer hair too.

yeah, i tried combing it back once, but i didn't like that it gave me too much volume. I tried parting it down the middle, but i usually part it on the left, so my left side had more volume (A LOT MORE) and didn't even have haves, does that mean that the hair has to get used to that or that i just can't part it down the middle?

You just have to grow into the look and use some product that will weigh it down just a little.

I'm sure as you get older you will come to like that style. Just keep experimenting with it. You can even ask your barber stylist to give you a style that takes the hair back.

If I don't use some type of styling product, (mousse, gel, pomade,) I get tons of volume as well.
Rake and shake, Scrunch and plop!

The one i would try is mousse, but i've never used it, i don't think i've even seen it, but i think it's the one that leaves the hair more natural right? can you reccomend any specific one? I'm gonna start a hair journal just because i'm bored now in summer :P
