Have I ridded myself of KCCC Crunch

I think I have. I have noticed that when I use KCCC that i can't use anything else with it other than KCKT until it dries. When it dries however it's crunchy because i added no moisturizer to ensure not white flaking. Well, recently after applying KCKT then KCCC, i sprayed my on a water/glycerin mix. The result was that my hair dried but not crunch. It was actually soft. I just thought I would share...

Glycerin does make the difference. I've been using CJ Smoothing Lotion in place of KT and it really softens it up. My usual winter low glycerin routine in summer was making KCCC unusually crunchy.

H2w are you spritzing your hair while it is still wet? I wonder if this would work for me. I love using KCCC and KCNT, but have the same crunch issue. I have tried numerous leave in conditioners and known work as well as the Knot Today. Do you think I could use a spritz like Oyin's Juices or even dilute KC Spiral Spritz? I welcome suggestions for a spritz.

    Thanks for the tip!

I use KCCC & KT for my WnG and have also been concerned about the crunchiness after it dries. Also, it's not moisturizing enough and leaves my hair sooo dry. I find that the more water I use the less crunchy it is but sometimes it's hard to get the amount of the KCCC quite right all the time.

I used L'Oreal's Everpure Moisture Leave-In Conditioner yesterday as my leave in on top of the KT. It's not going to work for everyone due to the ingredients but it worked for me. The ingredients are:

Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium 10, PEG 12 Dimethicone, Oleth 20, Sorbitol, Parfum/Fragrance, Camphor Benzalkonium Methosulfate, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Polyquaternium 4, Benzophenone 4, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract (Peppermint), Linalool, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Oil (Rosemary Leaf Oil), Butylphenyl Methlyproprional, Citronellol, Coumarin, Limonene, Geraniol

I put my hair in 4 sections and added some KT to each section and then went back to add the L'Oreal to each section. The consistency of the L'Oreal is like a thin gel - it's not a creamy leave in and I figured that it would work well w/ the KCCC & KT. I love the results - my hair was not crunchy after it dried and I also have some sheen to my hair. My hair has good curl definition as well - which I get anyway from KCCC but it just wasn't as frizzy in some sections.

I'm waiting for my Giovanni Direct Leave in to come in the mail and I'll be trying that once it arrives. I've read on here that it works well w/ KCCC.

I know this might be random... but you have a great point.. I just started doing wash n gos... probably for a bout a week.. before that ive had the same tub of gel literally since I was a senior in hs and im def graduating college soon.. soooo shows you how much I know about gel but its eco styler max 10 first wash n go.. crunch hot mess disaster after work... but the next day I put the gel in and before I left I hated the way the curls were popping and I aallllwaayyysss have a bottle ready of water, condish, sweet almond oil and GLYCERIN.. those were the softest curls ever.. I didnt even know my hair could act like that... so in short.. I #cosign that statement =D
