I do. I would say cut a small amount at a time because once u cut your hair you can't reattach it lol. Err on the side of caution

I do. The only reason I do is because I know my hair well so I know when to stop, and can imagine how it would curl once dry/out of shock.

I just cut my own hair because after spending $150 on two devacuts I wasn't quit happy. Don't get me wrong, my hair looked nice it just wasn't what I wanted. I layered my hair myself and it is doing what I was trying to get the stylist to do. I watched lots of youvtube and read different posts here. I do agree to cut less than u think cuz u can always cut more.

I go slowly and just try to cut off pieces at the ends that look frayed. I got a little brave when I still had straight pieces of hair and chopped them off, which gave me some pretty short pieces of hair, but it worked out OK. Just be sure that you have hair cutting shears so that you don't damage your hair. In a pinch I've used regular scissors but I don't think its the best idea.
