How can I tell what 'cones are safe?

I did a search but didnt find an answer

    What do you mean by "safe"? Do you mean CG friendly? If so, then PEG-# in front of the silicone means it's water soluble. Also dimethicone followed by the word "copolyol" is water soluble as well. Amodimethicone is NOT water soluble, but a lot of people on CG are ok using it bc it doesn't build up as much as other cones. Cyclopentasiloxane and other -xanes are the worst for CG, so make sure you avoid those.

    The Curlchemist posted an article all about cones in the CurlColumns section. It even tells how to remove them.
