Okay so I big chopped alil over 3months ago, and I'm finding my twa becoming extra dry now due to the summer heat. I usually co-wash my hair and then use elasta qp olive oil&mango butter moisturizer before applying my eco styler olive oil gel...I recenty been putting on extra virgin olive oil on my hair because it seems that my hair responds better to oils then butters and lotions. Can anyone please help me find a product that wil keep my hair moist throughout the day&give it shine?

It's hard to recommend a product without examining your hair first to determine the porosity and texture.

Nonetheless, I do not think that it is advisable for you to use Elasta QP Mango butter if you are co-washing your hair. That product contains silicones and will lead to build up if you are not shampooing your hair.

Try coconut oil. It's excellent for moisture and shine! I ordered mine from www.sheaessentials.com

Your hair will probably respond better to creamy products and not oils; as this is the case with most4bs. Try Shea Moisture's Curl Milk on your hair and instead of gel, use flaxseed gel. It gives your hair great, soft hold without being crunchy or hard. I get mine from Curls of the World

Make sure your hair isn't protein sensitive. If you are using too much protein (think coconut oil), you could be drying your strands out.
