Bald spots from itching

So I have pretty-much normal hair. :bounce: But there's one thing...
I itch the back of my head constantly. I've done so for a year. Now there's a small bald spot.... I usually comb a few pieces of hair over it, but I have another small bald spot 3 inches away from it. My hair's still thick everywhere else, but it's getting annoying to cover up bald spots when I'm not even 1/3 the age of the usual natural hair loss age. Is there anyway to stop itching? Will the hair grow back if I stop itching?

If you have allergies, an antihistamine can help with the itching (so does hydrocortisone cream). But if you have a skin disease, you need to treat it daily until things improve. If you can, it would be best to see a doctor for a diagnosis and perhaps some stronger medication than you can buy over the counter.
