Have you noticed the effectiveness of this ingredient in your hair?

I've noticed that when this ingredient is in a hair product, particularly conditioners (such as Redken Youth Revitalizer Conditioner), my hair is softer and smoother. My hair feels as though it has normal porosity. The feeling lasts until the next shampoo or cowash.

    well didn't the article mention it imparts a smooth velvety feel? stands to reason that might be why your hair feels smoother and softer....just a guess.

    It is often seen in hair products because it is gentle on hair and imparts a smooth, velvety feel
    delivers a smooth, thick feeling.

    @Ondulee:

    You are correct. I was curious if other porous curlies have noticed this ingredient and have made the correlation as well. Or, maybe the product with this ingredient did not impart the smooth, velvety feel.

    I was looking for a consensus as to whether or not this ingredient would be one to look for in a conditioner or shampoo to help people with porous hair.
