well I flat ironed it at the salon 2 weeks and change ago then this past tuesday I pre poo'd, clarified, conditioned and detangled but I didn't wash the deep conditioner out like I usually do. I just blow dried it with all the conditioner in there and flat ironed because the last thing I want is dry snapping hair. It feels so silky, smooth and soft which is awesome but I really wish my hair would go back kinky. After my shampoo my hair looked very wavy and loose I almost cried to be honest.

Aww...well it may not be permanent, it may just take time to go back to it normal state. Good Luck. I hope you get your texture back. If not, you can always embrace your 3c

Isn't heat damage frustrating, all it takes is one time and boom? I'll never let a salon iron my hair again. If I want it straight I always do it myself on low heat and never use a pressing comb. At least it sounds like you still have some wave and curl in there that's workable you can try scrunching and diffusing to get your hair to curl up tighter. Every time I have had heat damage my hair was bone straight, can't do much of anything with that.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Hair Type: 3c, medium strand, high volume, soft
    About: Loves moisture
Current Length: mid neck when curly / bra strap length when straight
Goal: At least collarbone length when curly
Regime: KC Knot Today leave in, KC Curling Custard and Aveda shine serum. Style of choice wash and gos and braid outs.
Pet Peeves: Hair breakage at the nape if wearing tight ponytails. Different curl patterns, looser in front and tighter in back.
Hair pros: High shine and bounce.

Totally, I mean just a quick blow and flat iron then boom its over! Its crazy how that works. I am hoping with a few regular deep conditions itll go back to normal sigh.

Probably. I fried my hair when I tried to straighten it for the first time in months and after a good trim (which I needed anyway) and a couple washes/conditioners, it was better than before (I mean my curl pattern tightened even more).Don't lose hope! It'll be fine.:toothy10:

It doesn't sound like your damage is that extensive. You can keep doing what your doing-DC every week, protein treatments and so forth and so on and see what happens.
