What do I need to grow my hair out? Vitamins? Certain products? Help?

Hey! :D I've decided to grow my hair out long. Longer than I've ever had it.. I'm talkin' bottom of the back, or even longer. Right now, it's a little bit past my shoulders (see profile pic). I'm wondering what I can use to make it grow faster? I've heard of using some kinds of vitamins. And I've also heard of cutting of the tips every once in a while. Do y'all have any tips? Thanks. :)

Aloe Vera is meant to help hair grow quickly. My cousin who hair could not grow past shoulder length tried it with fantastic results.

Healthy diet which provides all the vitamins and minerals your body needs
Exercise for blood circulation which helps follicles grow
A tea with herbs like nettle and horsetail
    Patience
    Gentleness with your hair

    That's about it.

good luck! i've noticed a positive different in hair growth since taking supplements like biotin (details on my blog, link below on all i take)

also scalp massages w/oils helps as well as frequent deep treatments to protect and keep the hair you have it's healthiest so you don't need to trim it as much

Yep she did. Sorry let me rephrase - she had the actual plant & was rubbing the aloe gel, which u can see inside the leaves when u break it in 2, into her hair.

Hi, I'm growing mine as well. Currently shoulder length :)
I'm taking multi vitamins, and drinking rooibos tea. Rooibos tea is also good topically as well but I've not tried it yet :)

Rooibos tea is lovely. I didn't know it could help with hair growth. I must give it a go

I read Virgin hair fertiliser is good too. Search forum for postings on it.

You're prob better off goin to a health food store & gettin any 100% aloe Vera gel. Fruit of the earth, Vaseline are a couple of brands that sell it. But no doubt Yr local health food store will have some other brands. Check out the oils while Yr there.

Ok, thx. Will do. I know my hair loves olive oil. Would I apply the oil on freshly washed hair or dry hair?

I guess whatever way works for you. I rarely wear oil nowadays but when i do i always put it on damp hair. It just works better for me that way. If whatever way works for u, then just continue with it, I say

I read somewhere in here and see people raving about it on YouTube that Castor oil is supposed to be great when it comes to hair growth. I'm ordering some myself and will try it out so I'll let you know if I notice any difference.

What exercises help to grow out hair? Something special or just normal sport?
