methosulfate good or bad?

I know sulfates are bad for curly hair. But I keep seeing the ingredient: Dipalmitoylethyl hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate or methosulfate by itself. Is this a bad ingredient for curly hair?
I have a Phytojoba intense hydrating mask that has this ingredient and I would like to know if it is safe to use on my 3b, dry, highlighted curly hair. Thanks for your support!!!

Since I do highlights I don't want to damage my hair even more with the wrong products. Your help is greatly appreciated! :hello2:
With the first product I would be careful with the Dimethicone since it's a silicone. This one might coat your hair and might not let any moisture into your hair. It might just give you the appereance that your hair is moisturized but in reality the silicone sucks moisture out of your hair.
The second product has hydrolized protein. While it can be great if your hair needs protein, it could also mess up your hair if it alreadly has enough protein (So chek if other products you use have that ingredient)
Hope that helped a little :hello2:
My hair loves: Vatika and Bhringraj oils, adores henna.
My HGs: Bobeam's shampoo bars, CJAO, CJRM, Original Moxie's Hair Bling, Terressentials,

Let's hear it for beautiful curls!!!
... THANKS for the tip Rusycurly! I was just reading carefully the ingredients on the Phytojoba mask and the actual box doesn't have the Dimethicone ingredient which is pretty good. So I guess I'm good to go! the other one it does have the protein, so I guess I'll see how it goes with that one.
Is too much protein bad? how do I know if my hair has to much protein in it already?
Thanks girl!
