I've been wanting to join the summer bun challenge since the thread started but I didn't think my hair was long enough. I was kind of right but I figured out a workaround. The front of my hair is what's shorter so I did flat twists in the front and a bun with the back. So, I'm in! 472d5247-a05d-cb9a.jpg472d5247-a07d-1336.jpg
I work weekends and I have a problem with people at work constantly touching my hair so I will be bunning on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and then wearing my hair out the remaining three days of the week.

Bun are easy and coconut oil is the best oil for it. My hair is blinging, now all I have to do it start doing some interesting style bc the high bun isn't going to cut it for too long.

Yea I hear you. I started using coconut oil a month ago & I'm in love w/it! & yes I also need some new bun ideas myself...I really wish I knew how to cornrow or do flat twists so I could braid/twist up the front & then pull it all into a bun...well I guess I just discovered my new natural hair research topic!

I've been hunting YT for ideas. I haven't found anything I really want to do.

I was actually about to do a google search myself. If I find anything interesting I will definitely share.

It sounds like we all need to get together and come up with some bunning styles. :afro: I found a really good one from The Fiesty House Blog. She does a double side bun. It is really cute.

I noticed other people having issues uploading photos using the app.

I'm getting bored with my buns myself. I think I'm going to do a henna/indigo gloss treatment tonight, deep condition and wear my hair out tomorrow for the first time in almost two weeks. I want to try some new products on WnG.

    ^^Cute!

Yesterday, I wore a basic bun. Well, I found a bug in it after my morning walk. :disgust: So last night I decided to make a bun cover. That is how I am wearing it today, at least until after my walk.

Had my hair down for one day out of the weekend. Now it is in a twisted bun. Must have it down for daughter's graduation.
  • teejayteejay Posts: 537Registered Users
My twists were a fail. I knew that they would be. Twists never last in my hair. They always unravel.:sad8: Oh well, today I am going to try mrsjaxn84's flat twists and bun.

    @LadyMopTop Beautiful!

I've been wearing my hair out since Friday and I think I'm going to bun it back up again starting tomorrow after the gym and cowash.

I got them, they work really good when I bun my hair. Plus the bun will stay in all day, which is a huge success for my hair.

I am totally wanting the Goody Spin Pin Minis. I haven't seen them yet locally. :(

foreverturtles, they might be listed at "log rolls" for hair. I can't remember for sure. I sure don't have enough hair to compare it to a log, but it does sort of roll the way that I get the hair smooshed together.

I'm scared those things would get caught and lost in my curls. I have been know to loose a bobby pin or two in my hair. :laughing7:

I'm going to grab the minis at some point cuz I really like the spin pins. I still need time to get it correctly in when I'm doing certain things because I sometimes put them in at the wrong part of the bun if its a messsy one.
