Anyone Tried OriginalMoxie Products?

"Each hair care product is hand crafted from natural ingredients, enriched with custom herbal infusions, and enhanced with iconic essential oil fragrances."

As a transitioner I've been using some of the products -- I like them so far. Interested to see if any fully natural ladies have heard of them or are using them. Any youtube fans of Ms.Vaughn and MeechyMonroe will find reviews on this line of products!

Cheers!

I have some products from them and I'm still playing around with it...I like the Twist Mist for fluffing my hair when I don't want to use a water based product (it gives great shine too), and the Scalp Therapy makes my scalp all tingly and fun. But, I don't have issues with flaky scalp so I can't say how much it helps with that. I often put it on my temples at night.

Actually...I just used the Scalp Therapy b/c my head was itchy in my ponytail. I think this happens to me because I have a lot of hair and when it's all up my scalp can't breathe. It alleviated it instantly. Good show.

Ok so I ordered the Shape Shifter because for some reason I think the Just Gel is going to work exactly how Jane Carters Condition and Sculpt does. The consistency reminds me of C&S.

I didnt like the C&S because it really tangled my hair A LOT, Im holding off on trying the Just Gel but has anyone tried the Shape Shifter?

Just checked out the website. I like that she uses a 3-D diagnostic system, based on curl size, hair density and strand thickness. So it's not just based on hair type 1, 2,3 or 4 but on all the factors that play into your hair's needs. It makes me think that she really understands hair. Because of that I will definitely try some of her products. Please keep the reviews coming, ladies!

I haven't tried any of their products, but my sister tried the Twist Mist Lightweight Shine spritz at a natural hair meetup last month. It looked like she had dipped each individual loc in a vat of glitter. I wish I had sampled it...could've used it on my uber-dull (yet impeccably soft) twist out that day.

I tried the just gel on Sunday and it's not bad at all, it dried with some hold and is not crunchy, to refresh I spray some water and on the 4th day I added more water and just gel, the thing that stands out about this gel is that my hair has stayed moisturized. I put it in a puff this am, cause it was looking a lil crazy but my hair still moisturized. I did use a LI like I always do.

The Shape Shifter is a creamy styler so it goes on very white. Its easy to slide down the hair but the white look seems to be going away fairly quickly( Im sitting under my soft bonnet though).

It doesnt seem to be that hard of a hold so far. It didnt stretch my hair any more than any other gel, however in the instructions it said you could finger twirl or twist the hair to help it elongate.

Thanks Shawny. did you get the Just gel? I'm still looking for a gel. The coil jam didn't give me second day hair. The day started out well. By the end of the day, my hair was dry like the desert. I had to wash my hair and deep condition it. Oh well...

No I keep staring at the Just Gel for some reason it reminds me of Condition and Sculpt and that stuff tangled my hair so bad. It was a nightmare, it shrunk my hair down until the coils started to curl to my head and upon each other.

I will try it out this weekend though and see how it goes.

Dang I'm sorry to hear the Coil Jam didn't work out, I got a lot of compliments when I had it in for 3 days. my hair on the second day was when it softened up

I just got my products today and tried them out.

Shape Shifter - I was looking for a product to use on braidouts and twistouts that was like Knot Today with hold. I wanted conditioning, moisture, and definition. I have a section of damaged hair from me playing in it with constant twisting and twirling so now it won't do anything except fuzz.

I did some twists and this was a good product that gave me all the things I was looking for - good hold and moisture without being overly gummy &coating. It melted right in my dry hair. I'm not certain if it's $24 worth of good but I appreciated the ingredient list. If I use this for a wash & go it'll make a great sealer and definer for my ends. I'll repurchase but not often. I used the Pomade to keep the ends of my twists together...

Hair Bling Pomade - Wow. I'm not usually a pomade chick. They often have beeswax and I'm afraid of my hair being sticky and dull but this was a different experience. Now, in my house I really didn't notice much shine but I went out for some errands and when I checked my hair in the car mirror it looked wet it was so shiny. It really smoothed out my ends too. I will definitely purchase a bigger size.

the reviews I see for this brand are pretty good. Can you give me an idea of the scents..cuz that's been getting mixed reviews.

^^ the Shape Shifter smells like jasmine to me. It's suppose to have a sweet note with the Vanilla but I don't smell it. I love jasmine.

The Hair Bling is citrusy/herbal-y scent. They both fade very quickly.

I used the Everyday LI and the Just Gel today for a WnG

EDLI- Smells herbaly, on the thick side (reminds me of a watered down SM SBLI in texture), goes on with some slip (not alot tho). My hair drank it up. Hair feels good not awesome tho. Imma play around with it a little more but right now its not a repurchase I have better LI's.

JG- This stuff reminds me of KBN's gel just in a bottle around the same consistency maybe a little looser, but going on it feels the same on my hair. Herbaly smell also its been 3hrs and I still smell the herbs :sad1:. My hair is has medium hold I can probably get 2-3 days out of this hair.

I don't know if it was the henna, the trim, or this stuff but my hair is looking pretty darn good.
