Effect of Flat Ironing

Well, my current hair is probably 2a/2b, not really long enough to tell. If I started straightening would my natural hair turn straighter?

I used to flat iron my hair for years, and after I stopped, my hair was just a curly as ever. So, it may cause some damage that would effect your curl after long term use, but it should always go back to your natural pattern if you pamper it.

Long term use and high heat can cause heat damage. Part of my hair refused to go back to being curly thanks to damage, had to snip it a bit before it finally returned. Just be gentle and careful.

Can you see those straight pieces on my forehead?? Those are heat damaged from a friend who wanted to play with my hair. Been 4 months and they refuse to curl. I feel awful and wish I never had it done.
