    My goals:

    maximum moisturization.

Stop my addiction to box hair color / accept my natural black shade and maybe the greys too.

Grow to whatever my terminal length is. Leave the excessive cutting alone. I like to wear it up so I don't have a specific limit.

    My hair goals are to:
    1. Stop buying products so much.
    2. Grow my hair to bra strap length. I can't seem to grow past collar bone length.
    3. Find products that I love and that I am not just caught up in the hype about.
    4. Find products that moisturize my hair.

You can dye your hair black or dark brown or brown with henna and indigo. I dyed mine black and got 100% gray coverage. And I had quite a bit in the front. In my Fotki, I have a new album I added that showcases my henna and indigo experiences with pics. I also have the henna and indigo recipes I used to color my grays and deepen the natural black color of my hair.

If the grey gets to be too much I will definitely try henna and indigo instead of the Clairol!

I wouldn't mind having an obnoxiously huge afro.

I mean, I want to go to the movies and block someone's view. (I just haven't developed the patience yet to get past that awkward all-I-can-do-with-my-hair-is-wear-a-headband stage...)

I want a long, massive afro that would be waist length when stretched (!!!) However, hair health comes first. I'd rather have healthy shorter hair like now than inches of damage, even if I don't straighten my hair.

From the end of May/June till August I'll be keeping my hair in braids since I noticed my hair grows faster in the summer and braids help it along, and I'll take em out at the end of August, give myself a protein treatment/deep conditioning treatment, all that good stuff. Hopefully the growth will be nice and I won't have to do too much trimming. I know getting to waist length stretched will take me a good 4-6 years if done right, but I've got time. :glasses1:

Remember when I typed this? It's been about two weeks now, and I can say that my hair is so thick, I know I won't have the patience to cut through it again, so this time (for real) I'm truly done with the scissors. As a matter of fact, I've been using this dear castor oil for about 5-6 weeks now, and for the first time my twa is officially too thick to brush through! So, no denman for now either! Now my goals have changed:

    - Keep hair braided up until December.
    - Learn to use hands more, instead of brushes
    - Learn to braid (How? idk. Maybe there's a braiding dvd or something out there. braidsbybreslin.com?)
    - Do all of this on a budget, :laughing1:!

That's cute! I wanna have long hair too, but don't think I've developed the patience for that awkward stage either. This is the 6th time I've whacked my hair back to 1.5 in... so that's why I'm tryna hurry up and learn how to braid lol!

This is exactly what I be thinking when I think about learning to braid. It seems we all pretty much have the same goals. We gonna get this :afro:!

LoL that's me too..... I love the way my hair looks and feels after I've cut it.

Even as a teen I was shaving my relaxed hair off at the back and wearing it in an ear length bob. I had that Rihanna hair cut 16 years ago before it was known as the Rihanna hair cut lol.

Learning how to braid is a great idea. All it takes is a bit of practice. Braids really helped me to retain my length as I was growing it out.

My Hair goals are as follows:
    1. To have healthy and moisturized hair
    2. Grow my hair unstretched to nip length on the front (mbl from the back)
    3. Stop cutting my hair when I am anxious or under a large amount of stress (I've lost so much length these past two years because I can't drop the scissors)
    4. Minimize split ends and mid-shaft splits by being more gentle when detangling (w/ my fingers or any other hair tool)

Now I just have to see if I can do these things...:confused2:

My ultimate hair goal is to grow healthy hair down my back without doing 50-11 things to it. I'm just gonna let it do it's thing.

I'm working on one thing @ a time trying to get down a regimen and maximize growth. I already have thick hair and wanna keep it that way. I'm not having the spit ends or breakage I uses to now it's just working on getting the lengths I want every time I do my length checks.
