How do I know?

I recently rediscovered the curl in my hair. I have stopped flat ironing, and cut the dead ends off. I bought some products for curls, and a diffuser as I tossed the last. My hair is just below my ear, and I am in the process of growing it out (I had been before my decision of letting it go curly/wavy) I am confused as to the type however. I was amazed this am when I used the diffuser-I had such curls! I have fine hair, with tons of body. I have alway been told by stylists I have good wave/body to my hair. I will try to attach a photo...can you help me decipher what I am?? Thank you all? My hair has usually been short, and I generally cut it off by the time it grows out. It gets more curls as it gets longer.

Wow first off. In your pictures you look just like my mom! Except with brown eyes. And I have a little sister named Gracie. Weird, huh? Lol, anyways, I'm no expert, but your hair looks like 2c to me, but it's also short... So I don't know... Maybe once it grows out you will get more curls. Do you have any pics of the back?

Thank you! I shall take that as a compliment (I look like your mum!) I don't have a pic of the back. It looks kind of bad, I admit, I slept on the couch this afternoon. It is rather short, after having gotten it cut this week. I might wait a couple of weeks and post another pic.

Thank you all! I am thinking I may have a couple of patterns? Some of my longer pieces do these twirly things then others do wavy things. My hair has never been very long so I don't know how it will look past my ears. I shall wait and see....

It was! (People think my mom is my older sister a lot). Definitly do that, get a routine going, and the curl pattern will probably come out more.

did u post on the wavy forum? they'd probably have more experience with your type. you're right that it's hard to tell as short as it is & that you'll see more curl as it gets longer. good luck.

-Mostly 3A, though wavy if not enough moisture (like when I lived in CO.).
-High dew point gives large ringlets, though smaller & tighter coils at neck.
-Med. texture, high density, normally porous?
    -sulfate free, silicone free baby!
-searching for good stylers (but can't purchase living in China! must wait till summers to buy in US)

Thank you. I am going to wait to post more pics as it grows a bit, and I can take better pictures. I bought some new shampoo and conditioner and some stuff for wavy hair, so we shall see! Thanks everyone!
