would make your hair darker damage it or change its texture? i'm a swimmer, would it affect my hair in any bad way?

As for swimming, the chlorine may make your hair brassy and the color fade quicker...

It is very gentle, contains NO ammonia or peroxide, doesn't lift color (deposit only). Works great! Many curlies here use it if you try a search. HTH
