Hey ladies and possibly gentlemen. Product help?

I'm a fairly simple person. I don't like to fuss with a lot of products and whatnot because I have too many other things to think about, thank you very much.

But the PJ in me won't be entertaining such notions as simplicity or an organized bathroom cabinet. So I'm at it again, trying to find a certain product that will satiate the PJ part of me for a while, and appease the simple part of me.

I need some sort of hair serum/creme/finisher. I have gel, and it works great the first day, but my second day hair is never quite up to par. It's ok, but nothing special.

My morning routine is this: Get up (I sleep on a silk pillowcase most of the time), wet my hair a little with my hands to re-activate the gel, and, if need be, add a little more gel.

While this is fast and fairly painless, it doesn't really refresh my waves/curls so much as tame them. Sure, I don't have as many flyaways, but my hair doesn't look...alive. It looks like it's asleep.

So maybe I need something besides gel? The only out of shower product I use is gel. Like I said, a simple person.

I just realized how long this post is. Sorry. I'll cut to the chase: Have any recommendations? I'm after smooth, shiny, awake-looking second-day hair. I guess I don't really know what kind of product I need.
I have wavy-curly 2b-or-c-ish, fine hair.

Thanks for reading my novel of a post. :happy8:

Can your hair handle magnesium sulfate? I have found that a spray bottle with water, aloe vera and a little epsom salt is a nice cheap curl revitalizer :)
