More hair woes

Hi,
Help! I don't know what to do with my hair and am getting very discouraged.

It's shoulder length, and I just got it layered a couple of weeks ago. I'm growing out bangs, and they are just past my chin. Although the layering seemed to help at first, I'm back to not liking it at all.

The problem is that I feel so scraggly! I feel like it has no style. My hair is full of static and has no body. I don't know if it's just because it's in that in-between stage of growing out. Should I cut bangs again? I feel like just chopping it all off!

I've tried changing my products. I was using Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee, and I just got Potion 9, and I'm trying it instead. I don't know if I need to have it cut in a different style, or maybe wash it at night instead of morning, or use a straightening iron and give up on wearing it wavy, or what to do.

I start a new job in a week and a half, and that's why I'm especially worried about it. Help!!

Do you have some pics you can upload to Fotki (it's free) so we can see your hair? It helps to see what we're dealing with  . Or even just a pic posted here will do.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been computerless for a few weeks.

Yes, I know I need to upload some pictures. I don't have my camera right now, and I have to go to the library to use the Internet. I'll try to do it someday.
