Man, I was just at walgreens looking at shea moisture products. But the one product I was looking for was the leave-in conditioner and they didn't have it. I was really disappointed. I went to like 5 different walgreens.

In all of my walgreens they only had, from the coconut and hibiscus line: the curl enhancing smoothing, the mist, and the curl milk. In the raw shea butter line they had: the masque and the shampoo. I was also bummed, but didn't want to miss a good deal so I purchased the smoothie for my twist-outs or for protein and the masque to use as a leave in. The masque has been great so far.

msvaughn on youtube said the curl enhancing smoothie makes your curls pop out. I'd like to have your personal opinion on that. Did it do anything for you?

I'd already purchased a lot of Shea moisture products from target and been using for a while. When I went to walgreens that had this new stuff I'd never seen before, so I bought it and tried it last night. It's apart of the African black soap line of Shea moisture and it's called purification masque. It was wonderful! I'm going back to buy the rest of the purification masque because it's hard to find!!!

How did you use the purification masque. Did you do it before or after shampooing? Did you use it like shampoo and then condition? Or did you just use it alone?

My 4a areas were more clumped together and hanged lower than normal. My 4b areas were well moisturized, but nothing can make them define since they are not meant to. I did like that when i did a twist out, my hair was more defined than normal. The only flaw is that it has a protein and my hair does not do well when I use protein often.

I used this a couple days after shampoo'ing. I let it sit in my hair for about 15-20 minutes then rinse it out, and gently towel dryer my hair. So yes I guess u could say I used it as a deep conditioner. It says on the bottle to rinse out, so I wouldn't advise leaving it it at all!

Did the purification masque make your hair feel any different? Better, worse, or the same?

I really hate that I slept on the sale. I was in Wal Greens the other night and saw some Shea Moisture products in stock. They look pretty good and the price is right. If I weren't trying to cut back on buying more products, I'd stock up.
I STILL LOVE my steamer! :toothy4:[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

    :D Keeping it simple...

This sale is over hun, check the date of the thread :) I love the Coco Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie, it's thick, so if you're not into thick creams for hair, get their milk. When the sale comes back I'm going to try other products. I missed this last one.

Even though the sell is over, I would like to add that my favorites are anything from the raw shea butter line like the masque or leave in conditioner.

I have not yet tried the shampoo. I have heard good things about it though like that it has amazing lather and leaves the hair moisturized. I plan to buy the shampoo the next time there is a sale. When you try it will you let me know if you like it or not?
