As a natural-haired woman are you attracted to natural-haired men?

Minnie_MouseMinnie_Mouse Posts: 37Registered Users
I'm bringing this up because I saw a guy on the street today whose hair was blown out into a beautiful huge afro and he made me want to have his babies. I think his hair is what really made me find him attractive. What about y'all?

Whether I was natural or not I was always attracted to a man that wore his hair naturally. I thought that men ALWAYS wore their hair naturally to be honest :laughing2:

It's not just because I'm natural, I just think a guy who gets relaxers, jheri curls, texturizers, or even colors their hair is unnattractive and/or gay so yeah, always have and will be attracted to men who wear their natural hair.

    Yes!

Last year I saw a guy with a very nice small afro and a very sharp looking suit. He looked so, so good!
Hair type: Mostly 3C, medium porosity to high porosity depending on the day, dense, fluffy, dry, tangly!

One name... MAXWELL.. Circa 1996 - whenever he chopped it off. I had dreams about him to the point where I thought I had a stalker status problem in my dreams.

He's still sexy now, but with all that hair he had me wishing I had his babies. :laughing2::laughing2:

I love dreads! Wait let me fix that up I love well kept dreads cuz the ones that look like things are living in it will make me run for the hills. I do not think I could date a man with an s-curl or a perm.

I saw this man in the store one time. His dreads were on point. They were neat, small, and plentiful. They looked so pretty I did a triple take. But when I walked by him and caught a whiff.......I wondered when was the last time he washed them thangs. :-?

I'll be honest, I don't really like the look of locs on men for some reason. It's always nice to see a black man rocking more than a quarter inch of hair, though. LOL.

    I agree with the bolded.

IDK, I guess I'm an old school girl.. because I'd never give any guy with chemicals in his hair or pants tighter than mine the time of day. Couldn't even see myself with a guy that spends more time than me in the mirror. LOL, I need... A MAN!

I was never attracted to guys with afros, but I've always loved well groomed locs. I also think some guys looks very nice with cornrows, but I could be biased, because I just love to cornrows in general :toothy6:

I always thought most guys tended to be natural too.

In my 20s, I loooooved men with with huge curly-kinky hair or fros, also loved long naturally straight or wavy haired guys too....i'd watch soccer games just to drool... also musicians, artists, Ren Fair nerds, hippies etc.

One guy I really liked had this crazy, sandy, thick type 3c-4a hair. In retrospect, getting my hands in his hair was better than the sex. :laughing6:

That said, my husband has short, light brown, straight hair. I've tried in vain to get him to grow it out but, no dice. I still drool over men with lots of hair but I try to be discreet about it.

I also wonder if I was so thrilled over men with healthy long/huge hair because I was still trying to figure out how to achieve it myself.:toothy10: Actually one did give me pointers but I dismissed his advice(more rinsing, conditioner washing, gel) because his hair wasn't just like mine. Looking back, I see he was 100 percent right.

:blob: Haha! Glad we're all on the same side! Seriously, men with dyed hair and/or chemically processed hair is a no-go to me. It all goes back to this crazy notion of me wanting my men to look like men. The only men I see with colored/relaxed hair are gay men so if a guy came up to me with relaxed hair, blonde highlights and swore up and down he was straight and I wouldn't take him seriously and ask him to be my shopping buddy or something lol.

I'm not a huge fan of locs, although I think if he has the "swag" for it he can pull it off. But if a guy has a huge fro, I get all Harry Potter stupefied and stuff. I got in the elevator of my building one time, and there was this tall guy with this wild fro, and I was just staring at it, I wanted to touch it SO BAD. Then he complimented my hair and I could barely form a sentence. He wasn't even really cute, but his fro stunned me lol! Another time I was at a bar and this guy had like lion mane hair...and I made him my BFF for the night and he let me play in his hair! I was like, "Youuuurrr hair is ah-maze-ing..." I mean, there was alcohol involved, but so??? His hair was still the bomb lol.

And if he has a relaxer (oh I've seen it IRL, not just on Katt Williams) automatic deal breaker. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I shan't dabble in such tomfoolery!

LOL when I thought about it later I think I wrote that wrong. xD

I meant guys who wear locs, afros, twists, braids, etc. but I should've put it that way 'cause it sounds funny the other way.

I recall I dated this guy he was beautiful he had beautiful green eyes and this thick curly black hair. He was Greek I think and I would play in his hair for days. The boy was dumber than a box of rocks but he was cute so whatever right. Then one night we went swimming at the lake and he took his shirt off turns out that fantastic curly hair grew everywhere it was like a dang on carpet (chest and back ICK get a wax why don't you!). Yeah I quit calling after that LOL

I have no idea why I am sharing this story but...it is late :color:

Gross! I love a man with hair, but on his head!
In undergrad I only dated guys with locs except one and then I convinced him to grow some. My husband kept his hair in twists and fros when we first dated though he had them previously. Then after we married, we loc'd at the same time. I've had locs 4 times and just surrounded myself with people who had them too so it only seemed natural.
Now my brother, he goes through cycles where he grows his Afro out huge then shaves it off. He can't keep women out of his hair when he has it. a6898ffc-3a9a-7b6d.jpg

LMAO. I've never tried a man with hair on his chest. I think it'd be hell. Just think if he started sweating or something. He'd probably reek. On the other hand there are women who really dig that. Then I find myself wondering why.
