Giovanni Big Bottles at TJMaxx

mesuemesue Posts: 244Registered Users
Dunno if they have them at all stores, but I was at TJMaxx today (in FL) and they had the 33 oz bottles of Giovanni shampoos and conditioners for $12.99. I could not resist getting a bottle of the TTTT... love that stuff! And it has a pump instead of the annoying flip-lids on the smaller bottles.

I think there was some talk in another thread about the formula possibly changing. If TJMaxx is carrying it, that might be why...

Jeez, maybe I should have gotten more than one. :toothy5:

Man, I need to head over to mine and take a peek. TTTT is my most favorite co-wash ever. Does your bottle have aloe? Seems like I've seen it in some ingredient lists. Please say it doesn't. :)

Aloe vera leaf juice... yep, second ingredient. Sorry! I will have to look at my other bottle (from a swap) to compare them.

Just got around to comparing ingredients on my small bottle to the big bottle I just bought and they are different. I hope I still like it!

Do you know which is the new formula?

I have no idea. I've been using it at least a couple of years, and I have never had one with aloe. I hope you like it. :)

I saw those 33 oz bottles at TJ Maxx today and bought the shampoo and the conditioner. The 50:50 conditioner I will keep, but I am returning the shampoo because the ingredients in the bottle I have previously, that was bought from vitacost, have different ingredients. The TJ Maxx one has hydolyzed soy protein among other ingredients in it, that isn't in the one I have been using for a few months. Based on my hair analysis and what I have noticed, my hair does better with limited protein.
It is rather frustrating that one has to really pay attention to ingredients on every bottle before purchasing. Especially when one expects the same name and brand to be consistent.
Hair analysis results - medium texture, low porosity and normal elasticity.
Shampoo: Giovanni tea tree triple treat
    Conditioner: Giovanni 50:50
Co-wash: Suave naturals waterfall mist or wildcherry blossom
    Gel: Loving flax seed gel!
Henna - yemeni henna and indigo from hennasooq

Notice to Canadians: Winners (a similar store to TJMaxx) also has the big bottles of Giovanni!

I'd never buy those small bottles of Giovanni again if I can help it!
Hair type: Mostly 3C, medium porosity to high porosity depending on the day, dense, fluffy, dry, tangly!

was just gonna post this! i picked two of these up at winners yesterday for 14.99 as opposed to the 9.99 you pay at the drugstore for the small bottle.
Type: 2b but starting to see some 3a pieces in there! medium density, normal porosity, normal elasticity, easily weighed down
Low Poo: Nature Clean Herbal Shampoo
    Co-Wash: Giovanni Tea Tree
Rinse Out: Giovanni Smooth as Silk
Styling Products: Biotera Curl Cream and Gel, experimenting with FSG

Ok, I'm guessing now that the aloe is the new formula. I went to Rite Aid, where I always get mine, and they have the one with aloe. :sad5: I guess now is a good time to try out Trader Joe's Tea Tree conditioner. Those ingredients look pretty good...

:pirate: $14.99? I stalk the hair aisle until clearance time comes around and usually pick them up for $5-9.

Yay! I pocked up the 50/50 poo & condish and TTTT cond - they didn't have the shampoo. I am going to keep looking.

I also discovered that the TJ spa condish is the same as the 50/50 btw :)
